Ashley makes really killer Spotify playlists and her september 2011 mix is lighting up my life right now. i was twitter-raving to her about how “brendan’s death song” by the red hot chili peppers is officially my favorite song from 2011, and she pointed out how it “sounds exactly like an elephant funeral,” which is one of the most astute observations anyone’s ever made about my best band. what a beautiful elephant funeral it is!
